I am an innovation designer who utilizes design research and strategy to design new experiences, services, and business ventures. Over the past 10 years, I have worked as an innovation consultant for clients in the healthcare, consumer, transportation, logistics, and nonprofit sectors and as a design leader within financial services.
My passion is helping build innovative teams - In 2022 I joined Truist to lead design & research for the Commercial Client Journey team, focusing on service design and strategy. In 2024 I was tapped to establish a human-centered design practice within a line of business where I've operationalized discovery and prioritization to ensure alignment with business objectives while also satisfying users' needs and goals.
I hold a BFA in Industrial Design from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Master of Design degree from IIT Institute of Design with a focus on design leadership, service design, and design strategy.
I believe design can be used to solve complex problems by providing structure for ambiguity, exploring every possibility, and relentless experimentation.
My approach to design and problem solving is simple and iterative, allowing me the flexibility to craft an appropriate plan for each unique challenge:
\ Sensemaking
I believe it is important to be fully immersed in the topic, the stakeholders, and the people impacted by a design. Only then can one truly define what problems should be addressed.
\\ Exploration
I utilize design thinking and my skill sets in digital/physical design to find appropriate opportunities that address the problems at hand.
\\\ Experimentation
I design experiments to test assumptions, prototypes, and design solutions. In a reductive process, I move closer to the appropriate solution that addresses the problem.
